The concept for CHOICES FOR LIFE started back in May 1995 with a request from a professional nursing and caring organisation for assistance to reduce their staff's levels of stress, sickness and resulting absenteeism. That led to the first series of Stress Management programmes being designed and implemented.
Such was the impact of the programme, that within 6 months word had spread that there were exciting new ways to combat the many traditional problems associated with low levels of productivity, poor communication and Teamwork. They were also found to reduced high levels of Sickness and Absenteeism and other stress related problems.
In May 1998 CHOICES FOR LIFE LTD was formally created. Based on the 10 years experience in the field of Human Performance and Development of its founder James Dakin BSc, the company offers a comprehensive range of individually tailored training programmes, workshops and courses. Flexible in time, content and delivery, they ensure that all clients receive the most efficient and cost effective programme.
We do not simply aim to address the personal and professional aspects of our clients. We also seek to emphasise the importance of the emotional and spiritual issues of individuals and organisations, as we firmly believe that this is essential to achieve the degree of balance necessary to succeed at the highest level. Our comprehensive and flexible approach means that we can remain totally client-focused, assisting them to expand their horizons, realise their ambitions and optimise their potential.
The effects of combining practical techniques with holistic concepts are as diverse as they are numerous. Participants experience personal growth and development on such a scale, they will demonstrate new levels of skills and abilities in many areas of life and work.
Our aim is to enable all individuals and organisations to realise then maximise their potential. Our uniquely flexible and holistic approach enables participants to feel engaged in the process at all times, developing a high degree of trust, integration and personalisation within the company context. This allows the way forward to become a smooth process rather than a constant struggle.
Taking responsibility is an important step towards encouraging Teamwork, improving Performance and Morale and removing any blame culture that may exist. By gently enabling individuals within the group environment to start a process by which they can start to take back control of their own lives, they are encouraged to start taking responsibility for their own decisions and actions.
